It is a green town where I live; not only the surrounding hilly area, but also the city itself is blessed with wide open and green spaces like parks and lanes. It is almost impossible to avoid this green while walking to or from the town center, and this for a medieval city boxed in between the rivers Meuse and Jeker and the Belgian Albert canal.
