Since Rita was bitten by hundreds of mosquitos, some years ago, we call it that; the trail above the canal through the wood from Vroenhoven to Kanne (Belgium). It is moist, because of the loess soil combined with eternal shade, and on top of it crossbones use the path, why it is a muddy, slippery but official and marked walking trail.
I left the path and walked above Kanne, overlooking the Albert canal through the meadows, heading for Tiendenberg hill, and walked down across the bridge for a lunch at " 't Heukske", my favorite terrace in the area, and since I didn't feel like climbing anymore, I took the easy way home, alongside the canal...
