sweet violet blooms

It is March, and in Dutch the sweet violet is called "Maarts viooltje" (violet of March). It blooms, and in this area it is a rare flower.

I walked over Cannerberg hill today, and through the Jeker valley, where there is a lot of beaver activity. Most young trees are gone, just the roots left, but I couldn't find where the beavers took them... just gone.

Back over Cannerberg hill again, where it seems to be the sport of the season, walking around with a metal-detector over the (still) empty fields...
