It is a green town where I live; not only the surrounding hilly area, but also the city itself is blessed with wide open and green spaces like parks and lanes. It is almost impossible to avoid this green while walking to or from the town center, and this for a medieval city boxed in between the rivers Meuse and Jeker and the Belgian Albert canal. Maastricht shots
The Dutch Limburgian capital as a photo shoot. An ancient town in a video compilation, with a medieval town center and a park covering the shores of the Jeker river on the bank of that other river: the Meuse. For maximum YOU TUBE result: Maastricht shots

A historic walk
Visiting some historic hotspots of this area; like a more then 2000 year old Roman heir-road, where after such a long time still remains left. Or a site of over 50,000 years where nearby a long gone creek Neanderthal people lived. But also more recent history. In 1940 the Germans entered Belgium over Vroenhoven bridge, and in the battle of Veldwezelt bridge British pilots lost their lives. It is bloody soil where I live with a long and known history.
